A donation to Special Olympics Kansas helps our athletes
to increase their life skills and promotes a healthy lifestyle
through sporting activities. The joys of acceptance, peer
friendships and pride develop as they reach new levels of
achievement. One
goal of Special Olympics Kansas is to reach potential individuals in
communities that have not offered Special Olympics in the past.
It is estimated that there are 80,000 individuals in Kansas
with intellectual disabilities who would benefit from participation in
the program.
Special Olympics Kansas is a registered 501 (c) (3), nonprofit
organization in the state of Kansas.
Special Olympics Kansas receives no federal, state or Kennedy
Foundation funds and is not a United Way agency.
All funds are obtained through public and private donations.
