“In Honor of” Recognition or Memorial Gifts
Do you know an athlete, a SOKS volunteer, an athlete’s parent who would appreciate you making a gift to SOKS?  Perhaps in recognition of a milestone in their life…graduation, anniversary, birthday…or other special occasion? All you need to do is send the name and address of the person that you are making the gift in recognition of with your donation and SOKS will send a note to the honoree acknowledging your gift. SOKS will also provide envelopes for memorial services.  Please contact, Betty Werner at (913) 236-9290. Making a gift in honor of, or in memory of your loved one is a simple act that will mean so much to so many.

Matching Gifts
How do you make a gift of $100 worth $200? By having your employer match your gift! Many area corporations offer matching gift programs. To get your gift matched, pick up a gift matching form from your company's personnel office and mail the completed form to Special Olympics Kansas. We'll take care of the rest. Wills and Bequests
Just a few words in your will can go a long way towards fulfilling Special Olympics Kansas' vision of caring for the future life of this organization. Please consider including this sentence in your will:
" I give, devise and bequeath to SOKS the sum of ____________ dollars." Doing this will help us continue our commitment to provide quality programs for SOKS' athletes.

Life Insurance
While most people own some form of life insurance because of its unique ability to meet a variety of needs for financial protection, its role in planned charitable giving is frequently overlooked. Life insurance itself can be the direct funding medium of a gift, permitting the donor to make a substantial gift for a relatively modest annual outlay. Planning pointer: Insurance can also replace the value of an asset given to a charitable organization.

Gifts of Stock
Special Olympics Kansas gratefully accepts gifts of stock, and you can receive significant tax benefits when you give appreciated stocks and bonds. With a gift of stock, you can take a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock. In addition to a charitable gift tax deduction, a gift stock offers the extra benefit of avoiding capital gains tax on your stocks' appreciation.

Technology Recycling
Special Olympics Kansas also accepts used technology equipment and recycles it.  Possible items we take:

• Cell Phones
• Computer monitors
• DVD/VHS players
• CD players...... and much more

To make a donation of this kind please drop off or mail any used items to our State Office:
