Polar Plunge®

Its time for      Polar Plunge® 2013!

Individuals from all over Kansas are choosing to be OZ-SOME for the athletes of Special Olympics Kansas. They will plunge into the fridgid waters of lakes, ponds and swimming pools to raise funds for SOKS. Consider joining their efforts - pick a date or location below, sign up on, check out our handy toolkit and you will be all set to plunge.    Check out this video and get inspired to

PLUNGER: For a minimum donation of $75, you can jump into frigid water and then thaw out wearing your official Polar Plunge® sweatshirt.  Gather friends, family, classmates, teachers and co-workers to form a team!  (NOTE:  Each team member is required to raise the $75 minimum).  Or ask them to donate to your plunge.

STRUTTER: Compete in one of our Run/Walks and receive a long sleeve t-shirt.  Struts vary in distance and are not scheduled at all locations; check your local Plunge webpage for more details! 

CHICKEN:   Cold water or ice not your thing?  Out of town on plunge day?  Still receive all the cool incentives as a chicken (and we won't tell anyone!)

VOLUNTEER:  We can always use event volunteers to help with planning, set-up, marketing, logistics, etc. Click on the link to see which locations still need volunteers or select your plunge location and contact the person listed under resources.

COOL SCHOOL:  Form a team of at least 6 classmates and take the plunge together.
