Each winter across our state hundreds of Special Olympics Kansas fans and athletes face freezing waters and take the plunge.  Proceeds from the event go to support our programs located throughout Kansas.  There are several ways to get involved!

Plunger:  Taking the Polar Plunge is a great way to show you are a fan of SOKS!  For a minimum donation of $75, you can jump into the frigid water and then thaw out wearing your official Polar Plunge sweatshirt.  Gather friends, family and coworkers and form a team!

Strutter:  These events are up and running!  Literally!  For a minimum donation, your can compete in one of our Struts and receive a long sleeve t-shirt.  (Not available in all locations.  Check your local Plunge webpage for more details!)

Chicken:  Too scared to splash at the Polar Plunge, but would like to still show your support and earn our cool incentives?  Embrace your inner chicken, register as a chicken and raise funds just like your Plunge counterparts.  Remember, chickens can form their own teams, or should we say flocks?  Just raise a minimum of $75 and you will receive our official sweatshirt.  Raise more and you'll earn the same incentives as the Plungers.

If you would like to discover what it takes to be the bear at the Polar Plunge, run in one of our Polar Struts or declare yourself a "chicken", click on the city nearby.  We are currently firming up arrangements for each location - check back later if your location has not been updated.
