Instructions
to Take the Plunge!
Step 1: Register
1) Register Online (coming soon!)
2) Mail or fax form
3) Day-of event
If you register for the plunge online or via mail you will still need to visit the registration area at the plunge or attend a pre-registration event to sign a waiver, pick up your incentives and turn in your pledges.
Step 2: Solicit and Collect Pledges
Individual
To plunge as an individual, you must collect a “bear” minimum of $75 in pledges. Create a personal fundraising website here. Collect your pledges from friends, neighbors, co-workers or relatives and turn them in on Bank Night or on the
day-of-event at the registration table. Incentive prizes will be based
upon the amount of pledges you collect! NEW
INCENTIVE PRIZES for 2008: $250 Blanket, $500 Fleece Vest and
$1,000 Deluxe Sports Chair. (Prizes are not cumulative)
Team
Plunging as a team is much more fun than plunging alone! This is a great event for church groups, companies, student organizations, clubs, friends and family. The team that collects the most pledges will get the traveling trophy and the chance to defend their title in 2008 along with a great prize!

All team members who collect $75 will receive a sweatshirt and are eligible for the other individual incentive prizes. Create a team fundraising website here. Each team member must turn in their own registration and pledge form to receive their incentives.
Some ways to promote the team plunge:

Collect money to have your boss/teacher/coach plunge

Person who collects the least money has to plunge

Person who collect the most money chooses the plunger

Tips & Safety Precautions

Bring a robe, dry clothes and
shoes

Tennis shoes or water shoes required...remember the ground is
freezing

Bring plenty of extra towels or a blanket...great to help keep warm or dry off
with

Bring layered, loose-fitting clothing...it is easier to get into when your fingers are
numb

Have a friend of family member
there to take pictures, hold your towel and be there to help you
change!

Plunge with a friend or group...it is more FUN!

Minimum pledge amount required...only those who raise at least
$75 earn the "privilege" of taking the plunge.

ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING...or entering the water head first!
-
NO wet suits...it takes "real" plungers to do this.

Plungers will thaw out in the hot tub or warming tents on site.
