TOYS R US
Toys R Us is a $1 million Founding Partner of the first-ever Young Athletes Festival for the 2104 Special Olympics USA GAmes, promoting a nationwide in-store and online consumer awareness and fundraising campaign. Consumers are encouraged to make a $5 donation by texting "CHEER" to 80888 on their mobile devices. Profits will benefit the 2014 Games. 

Toys R UsIn addition, Special Olympics and U.S. Programs will benefit from the Toys“R”Us shine a spotlight on Special Olympics campaign which specifically highlights the Young Athletes Program. From February 1 through March 31, text-to-donate signage in more than 800 Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us stores nationwide will feature three participants in Special Olympics’ Young Athletes Program – Traigh of Wisconsin, Kailani of New Jersey, and Jack of Illinois. In February, our own Katelyn from Olathe, Kansas will be featured on the "Meet your State's Athlete" page.  

BrightonBRIGHTON COLLECTIBLES
Brighton Collectibles (Brighton), the women’s accessories manufacturer and retailer has agreed to a cause marketing partnership with Special Olympics which will run February 1 - February 28, 2014.  During the period, Special Olympics will receive 50% of the purchase price for every “Americana” bracelet sold online at www.brighton.com
, in stores or thorugh licensed retailers. Brighton has committed a cash minimum of $100,000, and no maximum, for the month-long promotion.

GRAIN INTO GOLD
Will you help create inclusive, accepting communities for people with intellectual disabilities across Kansas?  From Ulysses to Iola, St. Francis to Leavenworth, Special Olympics Kansas is improving the lives of over 5,400 Kansans and their families!

CHARITY MILES
Charity Miles is a free smart phone app that tracks exercise mileage and allows users to raise money for different causes. The app, which is iPhone and Android compatible, is free. Anyone - coaches, athletes, family members, special event participants such as 5K runners and walkers, Polar Plungers, corporate partners, college partners, and Program volunteers - can earn money for charities by using the app to log mileage. Cyclists earn 10 cents per mile while walkers and runners can earn 25 cents a mile for non-profit causes. Download the flyer to get started. 

 CASUAL FOR A CAUSE

Employees can purchase a commemorative Law Enforcement Torch Run shirt and wear it to work for the day (see below). Proceeds from the t-shirts benefit Special Olympics Kansas and you don't have to worry about collecting funds.  Or, employees can make a donation ($5 or more) to go casual and wear their favorite denim and their own shirt for the day and donate the funds collected to Special Olympics Kansas.  To organize a Casual for a Cause day with Torch Run t-shirts contact letr@ksso.org.

LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN® T-SHIRTS 

Each year, the Law Enforcement Torch Run® has t-shirts available. You can help support Special Olympics Kansas athletes by making a donation for a commemorative t-shirt through your local Law Enforcement Agency or by completing the order form!

 MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION/RENEWALS

Whether renewing your favorite magazine or subscribing to a new one, you can help raise funds for Special Olympics Kansas by contacting DialAmerica.  You'll get great prices and Special Olympics Kansas will receive 12.5% of your subscription.  To subscribe, call 1-800-588-2496 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. or visit the DialAmerica website and remember to select Special Olympics Kansas in the "I want to help" selection box at the checkout.

TURN OLD INTO GOLD

Special Olympics Kansas accepts used technology equipment and recycles it. A few items of the items we accept include:

  • Cell Phones and PDA's
  • Computer monitors (less than 2 years old and in working condition for office use.)
  • Digital cameras, MP3 players and hand held games
  • Ink and Toner cartridges
