Unified Sports
Unified Sports combines approximately equal number of Special Olympics Athletes and athletes without intellectual disabilities (partners) on sports teams for training and competition. Age and ability matching of athletes and Partners is defined on a sport-by-sport basis.
In the state of Kansas, there are a number of Unified Sports opportunities.
State Level - Golf and Volleyball
Regional Level - Volleyball, Kansas Unified Soccer League- (Metro Region)
Softball - (South Central Region, North Central Region)
Golf - (Metro Region, Southeast Region, South Central Region)
Basketball - (Metro Region, North Central Region)
